DIRECTOR: Joss Whedon
WRITERS: Joss Whedon, screenplay; Zak Penn and Joss Whedon, story; Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, comic book
WHO’S IN IT: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Tom Hiddleston
THE STORY: Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) is part of S.H.I.E.L.D, an international peacekeeping agency. The agency is a virtual who’s who of Marvel Super Heroes including Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). When global security is threatened by Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Thor’s adoptive brother, and his cohorts, Fury and team use their powers to save the world from certain doom.
IN MY OPINION: I have to say that I was sure this movie would be amazing and I was right. I absolutely loved it! The opening was a tiny bit slow but I thought it was necessary especially for the few people who might not have seen all of the other movies leading up to it. There was a lot of fuss about Ed Norton not playing the Hulk but I have to say I loved Mark Ruffalo in that part. He fit the bill perfectly. The combination of action and humor made the perfect mix for this movie. I highly recommend everyone see it at least once. Twice if you can afford it. The second time I was able to pick up several little things I hadn’t caught the first time.
WHAT OTHERS SAID:
It was good! Too bad Spidey couldn’t make it, though. I’d recommend seeing Thor beforehand – not required, but helpful. Wendi Baker Brownson, Alma
