HARRISON — The Mid-Michigan Safety Council will be sponsoring its eleventh annual Mid Michigan Safety Expo on Aug. 8. on Mid Michigan Community College’s Harrison Campus.
The Mid Michigan Safety Expo will provide train-the-trainer courses for various industrial equipment, certification courses in a number of safety areas, general awareness topics in chemical, environmental, and manufacturing safety. There will also be safety-related vendors on site.
The information is provided in a small group breakout format, and participants will receive participation certificates for each safety topic in which they participate. This allows participants to create an agenda that targets the priority areas that affect their organization.
“This regional expo brings people from fields like manufacturing, construction, education, human resources, agriculture, healthcare, and the general public together to learn about safety issues and awareness,” said Ed VanAvery, Director of Technical Trades at MMCC and Senior Advisor of the Mid Michigan Safety Council.
The registration fee is $45 before July 20 and $50 after that date. The fee covers all breakout sessions, activities, continental breakfast and lunch. Individuals can register and pay online, by mail with a check, or at the door.
