MT. PLEASANT — On Sunday, Sept. 9, Mid Michigan Community College Men’s Basketball will host a golf outing at Pleasant Hills Golf Course in Mt. Pleasant. All proceeds from the outing will be used to support the college’s men’s basketball program.
The 4-person scramble will begin at 10 a.m., with lunch provided at the turn. The cost is $50 per person, and teams can register up until the day of the event.
MMCC’s basketball teams practice and play their home games at Morey Courts in Mt. Pleasant. The men’s 2012-13 season will include a full schedule of games against other NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) teams as well as Division III JV teams.
MMCC currently has five athletics teams: men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, and hockey. The athletic programs are supported by a small student activity fee and funds raised by the student-athletes.
