Moon Called

NAME OF BOOK: Moon Called
Patricia Briggs
 Urban Fantasy

Coyote shape-shifter Mercy Thompson is a pain in the local alpha werewolf’s furry butt. She gets more than she bargained for when she saves a werewolf from a group of human hunters, who had imprisoned 15-year-old Mac for months. Mac, who is a newly turned werewolf and victim of a violent attack, is on the run when he unknowingly puts himself in more danger by hiding out in the local pack’s territory, an offense that could mean death for the new wolf. Even though Mac is in the pack’s territory without permission from the alpha, Mercy knows she cannot leave 15-year-old Mac to fend for himself.  When the alpha wolf’s daughter is kidnapped and Mac turns up dead, it’s up to Mercy and alpha werewolf Adam Hauptman to find his daughter and bring Mac’s killers to justice, all the while stopping a plan that might just reveal the existence of werewolves to the humans.

This book is awesome for anyone who loves creatures who go bump in the night. I couldn’t put this book down. This was one of those books that had my attention from the first page to the very last. In my opinion the book was fast-paced, with many twists and turns along the way. I would recommend this book as an awesome read for anyone. Patricia Briggs brings her world of shape-shifters and vampires to life in an action-filled, heart-pounding adventure. Moon Called is the first book in the Mercy Thompson series. I can’t wait to find out just what kind of trouble Mercy can get herself into next.
