MT. PLEASANT — The Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel is supporting local charity programs by donating to the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen. Through the end of November, Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel offered a coupon to all guests who brought in two or more non-perishable food items. All donations are going to the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen.
Guests received a coupon for $5 off waterpark admission for up to four people to be used Jan. 1-31, 2013.
“The fall and winter season is all about giving and the Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel is excited to give back to the community. We feel that supporting the local Isabella Community Soup Kitchen is a great way to give back and help those in need,” said Jennifer Jones, Marketing Manager for the Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel.
The Isabella Community Soup Kitchen’s pantry needs to be constantly restocked with canned goods; many items are donated, thanks to food drives by local organizations and donations from community members.
Grocery stores that once supplied meat and dairy products are no longer able to do so. Consequently, the Soup Kitchen’s grocery expenses have tremendously increased and their greatest needs are currently for chicken, creamer, laundry detergent, cooking spray, evaporated milk, paper towels, napkins, cereal, coffee, margarine, and much more. More items of greatest need can be found on the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen’s website. Click here.
