The January Let’s Do Lunch will feature clay artist Barbara Taylor Taylor is a local artist who creates art with clay. She hand-builds functional and decorative artwork for the home and other indoor environments. Besides her love of working with clay, Taylor tremendously enjoys gardening. he combines these passions by creating outdoor sculptural forms that are strategically placed in the garden where they not only appeal to the human eye but inevitably become natural habitats or resting places for plant and insect life.
In 2004 Taylor established a working studio in Mt. Pleasant under the name of ClayMates. It is here that Taylor teaches students the art of working with clay Besides spending time in her studio, Taylor works off-site presenting workshops, demonstrations, conducting art therapy programs, and participating in conferences and art fairs.
The Let’s Do Lunch event will be on from 12 noon-1 p.m. on Jan. 9 at Art Reach located at 111 E. Broadway in downtown Mt. Pleasant.
