Laker Current staff report
Are you smarter than a moose? If you think you might be, consider trying to qualify for a year of free tuition at Mid Michigan Community College.
Radio station 94.5 FM (commonly called The Moose) has teamed up with MMCC for the second year in a row and is in the midst of a contest with the grand prize of 31 free college credits.
To enter the contest, you first must quality. Listeners over age 18 have a chance to qualify four times each weekday at 7:20 a.m., 11:20 a.m., 2:20 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. If you’re the lucky caller, you’ll be asked a question and be given three potential answers. If you select the correct answer, you’re included in the grand prize quiz event, which will be held on Saturday, June 29, on the MMCC Mt. Pleasant campus. If the caller picks the incorrect answer, the same question will be used again at the next scheduled contest time.
At the grand prize event, each qualifier will be quizzed one at a time. Missing a question eliminates that qualifier from winning. Questions will continue until only one winning qualifier remains.
The qualification period began June 3 and continues through Friday, June 28. For a complete list of rules, visit the station’s web site at www.945themoose.com.
