With the start of the school year, now is the perfect time to get in shape. Endurance Fitness Center of Mt. Pleasant has announced a variety of changes that will be taking place through fall 2013, including an expansion of the current 24-hour gym.
Expansions at the facility, located at 4855 E. Bluegrass (a half-mile east of Walmart) will include 24-hour classes, full locker rooms, 24-hour tanning along with expanded personal training.
In addition to the changes taking place at the Mt. Pleasant location, Endurance has announced it soon will open another facility in Alma, though a firm opening date has not been set.
Endurance general manager Chris Reisner said Endurance and its staff provide the perfect workout environment. “People come to change something about themselves,” he said. “Endurance has a friendly and fun staff that keep the energy high and the people excited to be working out.”
Mid Michigan Community College students can show their student ID at Endurance and enjoy a discounted rate. With so many different types of people enrolled at Endurance, members can feel comfortable about getting in shape in a fun, safe, electronic environment, Reisner said.

Though the facility allows 24-hour access, it is staffed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. First-time visitors need to stop in during those hours.
