CLARE – Former 515 Gallery graduate, Ryan Watkins, has been influential in developing the gallery’s new upcoming exhibit, “Framed,” which opens Saturday, May 31, from 6-8 p.m.
Watkins recently graduated from the Hallmark Institute of Photography and has worked with the 515 Gallery to bring his colleagues’ creations from all over the world to the gallery in downtown Clare.
Watkins said he is excited about the 515 Gallery’s upcoming show. “All of the featured artists are graduates of the prestigious Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, Massachusetts, and are close friends of mine,” he said. “The styles of photography and photographers represented are incredibly diverse.”
The 515 Gallery exhibit “Framed” will showcase a combination of photo-journalistic, commercial, conceptual, nature, editorial, fashion, and portrait photography, Watkins explained. Artists featured in the gallery will be from Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, India and Japan. Three Michigan-based photographers, including Watkins, will be represented and present at the opening.
