Laker Current staff report
For the third year in a row Mid Michigan Community College is teaming up with radio station 94.5 FM to give away a year of free tuition at MMCC. The prize is yours — but only if you’re smarter than a moose.
To enter the contest, you first must qualify by calling in to 94.5 FM (commonly called The Moose). Listeners over age 18 have a chance to qualify four times each weekday at 7:20 a.m., 9:20 a.m., 12:20 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. If you’re the lucky caller, you’ll be asked a question and be given three potential answers. If you select the correct answer, you’re included in the grand prize quiz event, which will be held on Saturday, June 28, on the MMCC Mt. Pleasant campus. If the caller picks the incorrect answer, the same question will be used again at the next scheduled contest time.
At the grand prize event, each qualifier will be quizzed one at a time. Missing a question eliminates that qualifier from winning. Questions will continue until only one winning qualifier remains. The winner receives 31 free college credits at MMCC.
The qualification period began June 2. For a complete list of rules, visit the station’s web site at http://www.945themoose.com.
