Arts Council events in October

CLARE — The Clare County Arts Council has a variety of events happening in October. All events are open to the public.
Time is running out for you to submit your Most Photogenic Barn in Clare County. The deadline is at 6:30 p.m. on Oct 14. You can bring it to the Pere Marquette District Library on 4th St. in Clare or mail it to CCAC, P. O. Box 412, Clare, MI 48617.First place is $100, second place is $50 and third place is $25. Winners will be announced the end of October.
Do you want to know more about the Clare County Quilt Block Trail? Come to the CCAC general meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 14 where the Quilt Trail committee will be presenting information. You will learn where the Quilt Blocks are located and how to have one on your property. The meeting is held at the Pere Marquette District Library.
Have you ever wanted to learn how to paint or maybe a fun night out with friends? Made with Loving Hands on McEwan St. in Downtown Clare is offering you an opportunity to learn while having fun. On Oct. 27, they will hold a “Paint and Party.” For $40, you will learn how to paint and at the end of the night, you will come away with a 16 x 20 acrylic picture.
