MMCC holds open auditions for ‘Leading Ladies’

Mid Michigan Community College will hold open auditions for its upcoming Winter Semester comedy production, “Leading Ladies,” by Ken Ludwig.

The audition dates are Jan. 6, 8 and 13 from 3 – 6 p.m. in the Harrison Campus Auditorium. There are roles available for five men and three women

In this uproarious comedy by Ken Ludwig of “Lend Me A Tenor” and “Moon Over Buffalo,” two English Shakespearean actors, Jack and Leo, find themselves so down on their luck that they are performing “Scenes from Shakespeare” on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. When they hear that an old lady in York, PA is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long-lost English nephews, they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. Romantic entanglements abound, and hilarity ensues as the pair attempt to impersonate the relatives.
