This spring, Mid Michigan Community College (MMCC) will offer a session of Truck Driving Training at its Mt. Pleasant campus. Successful completion of this five-week, 240-hour course and its associated written and driving exams provide participants their Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
The training will begin on Monday, April 18, at the college’s Morey Technical Center, and it will include information about key functions of vehicle systems, safety protocols, and federal and state regulations and requirements. Students also will practice vehicle handling and operation in both range and street conditions.
Through Michigan Works!, funding may be available to support prospective trainees. Interested individuals can contact a local Michigan Works! office or MMCC to learn more about cost assistance options.
For more information about the program or to reserve a space in the session, visit midmich.edu/cdl or contact MMCC’s Technical Education Center at (989) 386-6614 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
